Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted anything. I'm really bad at this kind of thing. I am going to try to make more of an effort in the new year to post more work and be generally more active within the community at large. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and are off to great start in the new year!
On a side note, I recently opened a print store where you can easily order my more popular illustrations. It beats trying to get a hold of me through my inbox or email for sure.
You can find the store here: www.inprnt.com/gallery/stevend…
I hope to hear back from all of you about anything at all!
Cheers,
- Steve

World of Warcraft Tribute and SDCC
No, I couldn't go to SDCC and, yes I'm very jealous of everyone who is there. Maybe next year! :D
But, on the positive #UdonCrew (https://www.deviantart.com/udoncrew) is releasing their limited edition of the World of Warcraft Tribute at Comic Con. I was very lucky to have an illustration chosen to be displayed amongst what I'm sure is a beautiful array of art from a bunch of insanely talented artists.
I'm not sure if I can post it just yet, as it officially goes on sale in the fall, but if you're one of the fortunate souls at Comic Con picking it up, I drew a picture of Thrall in a blizzard.
I can't wait to receive my copy so I can drool all over the amazing art inside.
Freelancing!
2013 has been an eventful year! So far, I've completed two professional freelancing jobs for some very big companies and I absolutely can't wait to be able to share them with you once I'm allowed!
This coupled with taking Graphic Design full-time has eaten up a lot of spare time.
Just thought I'd let you know where I've been for the past couple of months! :)
Cheers,
Steve
Quality, Quantity or both?
I'm going to get into the habit of sketching more so I can submit work often, but does this mean a lack in quality of my submissions? Maybe, maybe not.
I'm a big believer in that while quality is of the upmost importance when it comes to anything you do, staying consistent and working on your weak points through practice is also important.
Through a rough sketch I may be able to focus on a weak point or hash out methods of achieving a certain look more quickly. I try to sketch something at least once a day and I think from now on I'm going to share these works to give you insight into how I operate early on in the process and also to get fe
Is it just me or do colours look desaturated on DA
I've noticed with most of my submissions lately that they're not as vibrant as they appear before uploading them to Deviant Art. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
